Support Element Leader

Sergeant Major Leslie Nock §
SGM Leslie Nock is originally from Syracuse, New York. Prior to joining The U.S. Army Field Band, SGM Nock served in a variety of assignments throughout the Army, including the 1st Cavalry Division Band, The U.S. Army Europe Band, the 10th Mountain Division Band, the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Band, and The 8th U.S. Army Band. She has served as a Senior Drill Sergeant at the U.S. Army School of Music and attended the Sergeant's Major Academy at Fort Bliss, Texas. SGM Nock has been deployed as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Joint Forge in Bosnia-Herzegovina. SGM Nock holds degrees from Onondaga Community College, Arizona State University, and Pennsylvania State University.

Arrangers

Master Sergeant Vincent Norman
MSG Vincent Norman is originally from Del City, OK and currently serves as the Field Band's Chief Arranger and Library NCOIC. Prior to joining the arranging staff, MSG Norman was lead tenor saxophone with the Jazz Ambassadors, a position he held for 15 years. In addition to his duties with the Field Band, MSG Norman maintains an active freelance career as a performer, composer, and arranger. He attended the University of Central Oklahoma, where he studied with Jack Sisson and Kent Kidwell, among others.
Staff Sergeant Adrian Hernandez
SSG Adrian Hernandez served in the 434th Army Band as a trombonist and staff arranger prior to joining the Field Band. He earned a BM in Composition from the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied with Dan Welcher, Kevin Puts, and Donald Grantham. He has also studied with Samuel Adler and Eric Ewazen. SSG Hernandez is a native of Duncanville, TX.

Librarian

Sergeant First Class Sarah Anderson
SFC Anderson performed for six years with the Soldiers' Chorus and has served as alto soloist with the Lutheran Choir of Chicago and the University Singers of George Washington University. SFC Anderson earned a B.A. at George Washington University and attended the Johannessen International School of the Arts.
Staff Sergeant Matthew Gunderson
SSG Matthew Gunderson is a native of Milwaukee, WI. He holds degrees in Clarinet Performance, Library Science, and Music History from the University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee and the University of South Carolina. Prior to joining the Field Band, SSG Gunderson served as clarinetist and Admin NCO with the U.S. Army TRADOC Band at Fort Monroe, Virginia.

Audio Engineers

Sergeant First Class John Lamirande
SFC John Lamirande served in the 10th Mountain Division Band, 18th Army Band, 77th Army Band, and 1st Armored Division Band. SFC Lamirande attended the Armed Forces School of Music and Cameron University.
Sergeant First Class Michael McLaughlin
SFC McLaughlin earned a B.S. in Aviation Studies at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a A.S. at Troy State University. He is also a Digidesign Certified Pro Tools Operator. SFC McLaughlin served in the 24th Infantry Division Band, the 283rd Army Band, the 79th Army Band, the 1st Armored Division Band, and the Ground Forces Band.
Sergeant First Class Howard Smith
SFC Smith has served with the 101st Airborne Division and the 5th Signal Command. He performed as guitarist and audio technician with the USAEUR band prior to serving with the Field Band.
Staff Sergeant Donald Dillenbeck
SSG Dillenbeck has served as a member of the 434th US Army Signal Corps Band at Fort Gordon and of the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe in Belgium. He previously taught sound reinforcement at the Navy School of Music. SSG Dillenbeck holds a bachelor’s degree in trombone performance from the Crane School of Music and a master’s degree from Northwestern University. A native of Johnson City, New York, he joined the Field Band in 2007.
